  • Alley Cat Allies: Promoting compassion and humane care for America’s feral cat population
  • Baypath Humane Society: Hopkinton, MA.  Place both cats and dogs
  • Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the nation’s largest sanctuary for abused and abandoned cats and dogs and other animals. They come here all over the country and there are never fewer than 1,500 here on any given day and Best Friends Animal Network, a nationwide network of people who are helping animals in their own communities.
  • Cat Fanciers Association: A not-for-profit organization with the objectives as follows: the welfare of all cats; the promotion and improvement of CFA recognized breeds of cats; the registering, recording or identifying by number or by other means the names and/or pedigrees of cats and kittens; the promulgation of rules for the management of cat shows; the licensing of cat shows held under the rules of this organization; and the promotion of the interests of breeders and exhibitors of pedigreed cats.

  • Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society – MRFRS began in 1992 as a few caring souls who decided to come to the aid of the 300+ free-roaming cats barely surviving along the Newburyport, Massachusetts waterfront. The effort our founders launched was one of the first in the nation to use Trap-Neuter-Return to improve the lives of free-roaming cats.
  • Milford Humane Society: ais an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill shelter for stray and abandoned cats. First organized in September 1990 to fill a need in the community, we help to care and find homes for the ever-increasing number of homeless cats that exist in the local area.
  • PAWS: Pet Animal Welfare Society of Norwalk, CT
  • Pet Finder: a nationwide organization working for the promotion of animal welfare.  The website includes listings of animals available for adoption at shelters.  We have received many inquiries since listing with them. 
  • Save A Dog: an all-breed, all volunteer dog rescue group devoted to helping adoptable, friendly, dogs find permanent homes in the New England area.   They help with feral cats and practice TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release).
